Biofuel Blast Results

Biofuel Blast Results
I just wanted to remind you not to forget to sign onto the National 4-H web site and register then go to the Results Gadget and complete the 4 question quiz.

We need everyone to do this because the county in Texas with the largest number of participants will receive $400 for their club!!!
And each of us will have a chance to win one of 5 ipod touch's for ourselves. The ipods are drawn out of all participants who posted results online, so if you don't post you don't have a chance of winning.
So, go to www.4-h.org/NYSD/ <http://www.4-h.org/NYSD/> and
1. Register (choose Archer county)
2. Go back and sign in 3. Click on "The Experiment"
3. Click on "Experiment Guide" (right under "The Experiment")
4. Scroll down and you will see 'Learn More" on the bottom right.
5. Click on "Results Gadget"
6. Then complete the 4 questions. If you don't have an email address, don't worry.

You can still complete the quiz and give credit to Archer county.
We only have until Fri. Oct 30th to do this. Help our club win!!

A special thanks to the Conrady's work on the Biofuel presentation at this months meeting! Great job and I hope everyone had alot of fun!

4-H foods workshop

This years 4-H food workshop was a blast. we had four stations. the stations were: the germ detectors, food pyramid, smoothies and the food challenge. at each station it gave the kids a chance to learn something new.

there is going to be a new part to the food shows this year, it is called the food challenge. in the food challenge you will have a list of ingredients and a recipe with a clue on it. there are no directions just a list of the amount of ingredients you can use. the food shows are very fun and you get a chance to try new things. so i encourage all of you to come out and try our 4-h food challenge

One Day 4-H

One Day 4-H was a total hit. Although our 4-H group was not there more then and hour and a half the Archer show barn looks great. The kids worked very hard. We swept the floors, picked up trash, and cleaned the bleachers. We are all proud of our 4-H kids and the parents involved in helping us out. We did a great job so lets keep up the good work!

Community Service Project for October --- One family in the club works with foster care parents in the area. They are always looking for good hand-me-downs for children who are placed with foster families on an emergency basis. Often these kids just have the clothes they are wearing. Please gather up any outgrown clothes, jackets, etc. that are still in good shape to donate to the foster parents clothes closet. Bring them to the October meeting.
