Halloween and Fundraiser Update

OCTOBER MEETING RECAP

At the October 4-H meeting on Tuesday the 18th, there was a teamwork program! Groups of five or six kids were given a marble and pieces of PVC pipe and they had to get the marble across the room and into a cup by making a 'bridge' with the pipe. If a group dropped their marble, they had to start over. The activity clearly showed the importance of working together.

FOOD DRIVE
The club is in the process of doing a food drive for the Archer City Food Pantry. At the October meeting a collection of canned items and other non-perishables was started. On Halloween the club is trick or treating for canned goods! If you are interested in participating, dress up and be at the Archer County Extension Office at 6:30 on the 31st. There will be goodies for all participants afterwards!!!

WREATH SALES ARE BACK!!!
Once again, the club is doing a wreath selling fundraiser! Each 4-Her is requested to sell 3-4 freshly harvested, 24 inch wreaths from Minnesota. Orders need to be in by November 11th. The wreaths will be delivered the week after Thanksgiving. Wreaths are 25$ each if a local 4-Her is going to deliver it to you, or for 33$ you can drop-ship the wreath anywhere in the US. To order a wreath, ask a 4-H member or call the Archer County Extension Office at (940)-574-4914. A portion of the funds gathered from selling wreaths will be donated to the Archer Service Center. The Service Center does meals on wheels and is in need of financial support to keep serving the community. Thank you for your support!
